Research Development
Arts & Sciences Research Development provides support for the development of research plans and strategies. We provide information on funding opportunities, guidance and training for faculty seeking research funding, and help coordinate support for major proposal development.
Pre-Award Research Administration
Pre-award Research Administration consists of dedicated research administration professionals committed to facilitating the submission of competitive proposals and the management of all pre-award activities for Arts & Sciences. They interpret sponsor regulations and guidelines and ensure fulfillment of all requirements and compliance with rules and regulations. They engage in the development of budgets and all administrative aspects of applications, oversee the progress of all applications, and serve as liaisons with the University's Office of Sponsored Programs.
Post-Award Administration
Post-Award Administration works collaboratively with faculty and staff on award account management. This includes award administrative processing, financial analysis, compliance and regulation assessments, and risk mitigation management strategies. Additionally, they work closely with UVA's central research administration office and the Office of Sponsored Programs to provide efficient award administration.
