The College and Graduate School of Arts and Sciences is privileged to house outstanding faculty doing cutting-edge scholarly work in a breadth of areas - ranging from decoding the chemistry of matter to mapping the mind's hidden workings to shaping raw vision into a finished work of art. To highlight the exciting work done throughout the School, A&S Research has launched a new initiative entitled Campfire Talks: 10 minute talks from faculty across the Divisions. Campfire Talks will take place approximately every 2-3 months, and during each event four faculty from wildly different disciplines will each give 10-minute talks on their current program and what they're fired up to do next.

Join us for the inaugural Campfire Talk on October 12, 2026 from 10am-11am held on Zoom! Please register for the event by filling out this form, and you will subsequently receive a calendar invitation. Don’t miss a chance to hear from the outstanding researchers below and learn more about the work done in our School.

  • Chris Carter, Department of Politics
  • Eyleen O’Rourke, Department of Biology
  • Michelle Personick, Department of Chemistry
  • Fourth speaker to be announced!

More information about the Campfire Talks (including the fourth speaker once confirmed) can be found on the A&S Intranet Page linked here. Reach out to your Research Development Manager (Trisha Dant for the Sciences, Caitlin Charos for the Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences) with any questions!
